Introducing the Shark PowerDetect Powered Lift-Away Upright Pet Vacuum Cleaner, delivering the best overall cleaning of any corded upright vacuum*.
Featuring DuoClean Detect Technology – two brush-rolls and multiple sensors that react and adapt for optimal performance..
- DirtDetect: Senses embedded dirt and boosts power up to 2x to pull up more debris.**
- FloorDetect: Senses floor type and adjusts brush-roll speed to optimise cleaning performance.
- EdgeDetect: Senses edges and boosts suction up to 2x to clean tight spots.***
Reverse Clean Technology – The Way Forward for Smart Cleaning: Many upright vacuums don't clean well in reverse. Shark’s DuoClean Detect floorhead was designed to sense direction and work in both forward AND reverse - for a faster, more efficient clean.
DirectionDetect: DirectionDetect Technology adapts to the cleaning direction for 40% faster debris pickup****.
Anti-Allergen and Anti-Odour Technology: The Shark PowerDetect Upright Vacuum not only deep-cleans your home, but it also helps keep it fresh. Anti-Allergen Complete Seal captures and traps 99.9% of dust and allergens*****, and Anti-Odour Technology guards against bad odours inside your corded vacuum to help keep your home smelling fresh.
Anti Hair Wrap Plus: this enhanced floorhead is designed with specially engineered bristles for powerful hair removal and anti-hair wrap, removing hair from the brush-roll as you clean – so you don't have to. A chevron pattern directs debris and pulls hair to the centre of the floorhead to be removed by the anti-wrap combs, providing ultra-powerful hair pickup that removes hair as you clean. Best for long, short and pet hair.
Go portable with Powered Lift-Away: This pet upright transforms into a corded portable vacuum for the ultimate cleaning versatility. When you lift the removable pod away, the motorised floorhead keeps the brush-roll spinning, making it easy to clean under furniture, as well as above-floor surfaces, stairs, and cars.
Clean with Confidence: Shark offers a free 5-year guarantee for your peace of mind. For T&Cs, see Shark Guarantee Terms & Conditions.

FAQs
Filters may need to be cleaned if the vacuum stops picking up dirt, if airflow is restricted, or if you notice lighter or no suction. For optimal cleaning and Anti odour technology performance, clean filters regularly. Between cleanings, lightly tap filters over a trash receptacle to remove dust and debris as needed.
Rinse the pre-motor foam and felt filters every month, or as needed.
- Remove the dust cup to access the pre-motor filters
- Press the release button on top of the pod. Lift the dust cup up and away from the pod
- Remove the foam and felt filters from underneath the dust cup
- Rinse both filters with water only
- Allow filters to air-dry completely (at least 24 hours) before reinstalling
- Once the filters have dried, install the felt filter first, followed by the foam filter
- Reinstall the dust cup by placing the bottom of the dust cup into the pod and then tilting until it clicks into place
Rinse the post-motor filter every 12 months, or as needed.
For proper operation, ensure all parts are firmly clicked into place.
This Shark® vacuum has four powerful settings for cleaning. The touchscreen selector is located right below the power button.
Touchscreen Selector: To switch between modes, gently tap the desired mode icon.
Detect Mode: Select Detect mode to activate Smart Detect Technology. In this mode, the vacuum will detect floor type, dirt, and edges, and will automatically adjust suction to maximize cleaning performance.
Manual Surface Modes: Select one of the manual surface modes (Hard Floor, Carpet/Low Pile, or Thick Carpet/Area Rug) to clean specific surfaces without Smart Detect Technology.
To clean bare floors, tile, and low pile area rugs:
Note: Use Hard Floor setting for maximum suction when cleaning above floors and for easier maneuverability on low pile area rugs.
To clean low pile carpets:
To clean thick carpets:
To clean floors in Powered Lift-Away® mode:
For easier cleaning on stairs:
Check the hose connection point on the back of the pod. A loose connection will result in a failure to power on. Make sure to insert the hose all the way into the pod until it securely clicks into place and the silver bar between the two arrows is no longer visible.
The vacuum cleaner is equipped with a motor-protective thermostat. If for some reason your vacuum overheats, the unit will not turn on while it's cooling down. Typically, overheating is caused by a clogged airway. It may take approximately 60 minutes for the unit to cool. Perform the following steps to clear the clog while the vacuum cools.
- 2. Empty the dust cup
- Open the top lid on the dust cup by pressing the buttons on the dust cup handle. Clear away any debris from the cone-shaped screen inside the dust cup, then close the lid
- Remove the pre-motor filters from underneath the dust cup. Tap filters clean over a trash can to remove any excess dirt and debris
- Detach the handle from the wand and detach the hose from the back of the vacuum. Check the hose for any clogs and ensure you can see through to the other side
- Check the wand for any blockages
- Detach the pod from the wand using the Powered Lift-Away® button on top of the dust cup handle
- Turn the nozzle upside down. Check for jams or clogs around the brushroll, using scissors to cut away any debris
- Check for debris or clogs inside the nozzle inlets/openings by pinching the release touchpoints under the nozzle to open the nozzle hose door
- Once all clogs have been cleared, reassemble the vacuum
- Once the unit has cooled for 60 minutes, plug it back in and turn it on
