FAQs
Yes, this model comes with both a foam and felt filter kit and we recommend that you rinse them with cold water every month. It also comes with a post-motor filter which you need to rinse once a year.
Filters may need to be cleaned if the vacuum stops picking up dirt, if airflow is restricted, or if you notice lighter or no suction. For optimal cleaning, clean filters regularly. Between cleanings, lightly tap filters over a dustbin to remove dust and debris as needed.
- Rinse the pre-motor foam and felt filters every month, or as needed.
- Remove the dust cup to access the pre-motor filters
- Press the release button on top of the pod. Lift the dust cup up and away from the pod
- Remove the foam and felt filters from underneath the dust cup .
- Rinse both filters with water only
- Allow filters to air-dry completely (at least 24 hours) before reinstalling
- Once the filters have dried, install the felt filter first, followed by the foam filter
- Reinstall the dust cup by placing the bottom of the dust cup into the pod and then tilting until it clicks into place.
Shark’s Anti-Allergen Complete Seal captures and traps 99.9% of dust and allergens inside the vacuum, not releasing them back into the air you breathe.
The unique bristle-guard and comb actively separates and removes long, short and pet hair, sucking it straight up into the dust cup and helping to leave the bristle brush-roll tangle-free.
2 settings – suitable for hard floor, low pile and thick carpet.
To clean bare floors, tile, and low pile area rugs:
- Slide the surface selector switch to Hard Floor.
- Press the power button and tilt the handle back while gently stepping on the floor nozzle. Note that the brush roll will spin slower in this mode
Note: Use Hard Floor setting for maximum suction when cleaning above floors and for easier maneuverability on low pile area rugs.
To clean low pile/thick carpets:
- Slide the surface selector switch to the carpet setting
- To activate the brush rolls, step on the floor nozzle and tilt the handle back
This steam mop is designed for use on most hard floor surfaces. We recommend that you first test an isolated area of the surface to be cleaned and review the use and care instructions from your floor manufacturer. Surfaces/materials where the steam mop should NOT be used: 1. Wax-polished furniture or floors. 2. Unsealed or unglazed ceramic floors, unsealed wooden and wax floors, and some unwaxed floors. 3. In cases of surfaces treated with wax and some unwaxed floors, the sheen may be removed by heat or steam. Test an isolated area first to see if sheen is affected. Steam mops are ideal for laminate, bamboo, hardwood, marble, tile, and stone. See Instruction Booklet for usage instructions.
Only use distilled water. DO NOT use any cleaning solutions, scented perfumes, oils, vinegar, or any other chemicals, as they may damage the unit or make it unsafe to use.
This steam mop has 3 Intelligent Steam Control settings so you can select the speed of the rotating discs and choose the ideal amount of steam to use for each cleaning task. LIGHT: Use on hardwood, laminate, and vinyl. For cleaning delicate surfaces, loosening and lifting light dirt, and light cleaning and dusting. NORMAL: Use on marble, tile, and stone. Cleans most surfaces and large areas. For basic, everyday cleaning, and cleaning moderate and heavy-traffic areas. DEEP: Use on marble, tile, and stone. For deep cleaning and mopping hard-to-clean surfaces, removing stuck-on messes and stains, cutting through heavy dirt and grime, and sanitising*. Dirt Grip cleaning pad lifespan is affected by factors such as how frequently they are used, type of cleaning (heavy or light) and how often the pads are washed and dried. Under normal household conditions, when using the steam mop for routine cleaning a few times per week, we recommend replacing the pads every 3-4 months.
